OTHER ANIMALS
What self respecting farm can be considered a farm without other animals here that share our days? Barn cats are a must. If not to control unwanted critters, then to just bug the heck out of you when you are trying to sit a spell at the end of the day. Pictured above is MaMa Kitty, our champion mouser.
Other dogs too! There are other breeds of dogs here too. There are Shelties, And, not just any Shelties. Like everything else, they too, have some of the best breeding we could find. However, the Shelties here are what should be considered semi-retired. The girls have reached an age where they enjoy the good life. Having the run of the facility, and enjoying every minute of it. They are always ready for a pat or a belly rub. What do you need diamonds and rubies for when you can have animals to share your life!
We are more than a breeder of German Shepherds. Actually, our dogs are permanent guests of our American Quarter Horses and American Paint Horses at our facility, Iron Horse Therapeutic Riding Center. They share a facility that was designed for them and their students.
HORSES
There is a lot to say in such a small space. However, we also raise American Quarter Horses and American Paint Horses. All are housed in a facility that was designed specifically for them. It is a facility that is going on 10 years old. It is heated for the comfort of the animals, but more importantly, the handicapped children and adults that come here for Hippotherapy and Therapeutic Riding. Most of the horses here, like our dogs, hail from top bloodlines in their respective breed. Our stallion, MJ Smart Sailin Chic, is a grandson of the top winning cutting and reining stallion Smart Chic Olena. Our mares also come from some of the best bloodlines attainable in the American Quarter Horse breed. We also have a couple miniature ponies here to help with Therapeutic Driving.
